2nd Request - Any Help for SP4 failure (Blue Screen) on Reboot?

John J. Clever

Second request for help on this as there was no answer to
my earlier one ... After a "successful" upgrade install
(i.e., the install portion shows no errors), the WIN2000
Professional system now eith SP4
fails on restart with blue screen and following error
message:

***STOP: 0x0000000A (0xBAD0B0BC, 0X000000FF, 0X00000000,
0X80416B67) IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
***Address 80416B67 base at 00400000, DateStamp 3EE6C002 -
ntoskrnl.exe

Although this shows the kernel, I suspect a driver
conflict. (The package installs correctly on a couple of
other earlier Dell Optiplex systems but not on this newer
Dell Dimension.) However, I am unable to locate the
appropriate driver to track the error. BTW, the system
currently operates OK at SP3 level ... but I would like to
keep all of the WIN2000 systems here at the school running
at the same level.

ANY suggestions, help and/or advice greatly appreciated -
thanks in advance - john

This happened to me a while back. It was the Adaptec SCSI
driver. Once updated to the newest version, It never
happened again - hope this helps.
