Outlook 2000

How can I create a seperate mailbox that I can send and recieve emails? And
also, would I be able to password protect it?

TIA

Wehn you say second mailbox what do you mean

could be

a. a second mailbox in your existing profile or
b. a second profile with a different mailbopx account setup in it

in either case you can indeed password protect an email account

if you are using exchange then i suggest using a different profile for
you second account this is because you cannot use seperte inbox when in
exchange mode, your pop or imap accounts will receive mail to the
exchange account inbox. Having seperate profiles negates this issue.

hope this helped

forgot to mention where to password protect,

exit outlook

goto control panel >>mail>>data files

selct the data file and select settings

password settings are in there

The OP said he's using Outlook 2000. The Control Panel applet you describe
will not have a Data Files button for Outlook 2000, only Outlook 2002/2003.
