2nd I.E from Quick Launch fails

Using XP Home, fully updated.
If I click on the IE icon in the Quick Launch bar to open
IE, it works. If I click it again, the window opens but
before being completely filled in, I receive the "an error
has occurred. Send to Microsoft.." error pop-up.

If I open the first IE from Quick Launch and then pick any
link on the page with a right click, Open it in new
window, it works.

Ideas / suggestions.

I may have found the answer. I looked in detail at the
error report and a clue indicated tha CWSHREDDER.EXE was
needed.

It removed WINSHOW and now the 2nd launch of IE works.
