2nd hard drive

In order to update my hard drive to a 7200 rpm drive, I
purchased (at a great price) a western digital 40gb 7200
rpm hard drive and using western digital data lifegaurd I
made a drive to drive copy of my C: drive (40gb 5400rpm
samsung)in an effort to make it my primary bootable
drive. I didn't partition it like my existing drive which
shows a C: drive and a D: drive (designated
as "DISE_BACKUP". The western digital HD is now G: drive.
(E: and F: are cdrom & CDRW). I changed the drive pin
settings to designated the western digital HD as the
primary master and the samsung as primary slave. What do
I need to do so that I can make the western digital HD as
my boot drive and make my samsung into a data storage
drive. HELP....:+>

Very difficult to answer your question as I am not familiar with the finer
points of Lifeguard, but I think if you had the option to exactly duplicate
the original configuration, you should have used that option. When you
change anything in the configuration when transferring to a new hard drive,
you will no longer have a compatible system.
