One of the office users (XP Pro, Outlook 2000) let their pst file run
over the 2g limit.
I tried the repair & crop, tried opening with Outlook 2003 & no luck,
although Outlook 2003 says to delete some items, which would be fine
but I've got to be able to open it first (kinda like 'no keyboard
present, press F8 to continue').
I am going to bite the bullet & buy one of the recovery programs out
there & am looking for advice and/or suggections, as most of these
programs run $150 & up, & I'd prefer to buy only one & have it work!
Any suggestions based on experience?

You often have to run the crop tool several times, also run scanpst.exe
after each crop
The early version pst can baulk at 1.6gb

I've no experience with recovery apps, but I believe there are companies
that will recover for you rather than you using the tools. Dont forget to
work on a copy of the pst
