250GB Hard Drive files corrupt (or not)

I Installed a 250 GB harddrive on a Windows XP SP1 PC. When I copy AVI files
to the drive and try to play them all I see is rubbish. When I copy them back
to another drive, they play back OK!!. Doing the same with WMV files, causes
no problems at all. Motherboard, BIOS and Windows support HD's larger then
137 GB.
Any idea anyone??

Avi is an envelope for a whole variety of Codecs. Make sure you have
one that supports the codec used for them. At a guess it will be DivX,
that came out well after XP, and now popular. Get codec at
