I have a 26 page word document that I'm trying to put into powerpoint, each
page being 1 slide of the presentation. Is there some way to do this without
copying and pasting each page one by one? /thanks!

Hi

There is a really easy way if you prep your word doc properly first. You
need to put all the text you want to be your slide titles into Heading 1
style, all your 1st level bullet points into Heading 2 style, all your 2nd
level bullet points into Heading 3 style etc. Save & close the doc, then in
PowerPoint insert -> slides from outline -> navigate to your doc. PowerPoint
will create a new slide everytime it comes across Heading 1 style and
format/layout the text as outlined above. Make sense?

Don't forget you can use the format painter to speed up the formatting of
your doc. Or you could make the whole thing Heading 1, then use tab to demote
the relevant stuff to Heading 2 when in outline view in Word.

Lucy's instructions are very clear and will do the job BUT ....

assuming the word file was designed as a word doc then it's very likey that
the slides are going to be cluttered and probably unreadable! If you're
giving the presentation why not make slides with the main points and handout
the word printout?
