200Gb hard drive not recognized properly in Win XP Pro

I installed a WD 200Gb HDD as a second drive and XP
recognized it as 127Gb. What's up with this... any fixes?

You need to install SP1 and apply a regustry patch. You can find this on
Microsoft's web site.

Also, make sure that your PC's BIOS can detect the complete 200GBs of the
drive.

Do you have a motherboard capable of 48bit logical block addressing (LBA)?
You may need to BIOS update if not so check your motherboard manufacturer.
Note: Not all motherboards can be updated, in which case you will need a 3rd
party IDE controller for the drive.

You will also need to install SP1 before you will be able to handle
partitions greater than 127gb...
