2007 SP1 errors with add-ins

Ever since installing SP1 for Office 2007, I have had conflicts with Trend
Micro Internet Security add-in called TMAS and for a web capture program
called snag it.

It causes a "serious error" and even caused Outlook to fail in sending and
receiving messages. I had to uninstall the TM s/w and reinstall.
Still have the conflict with the anti-spam add-in and TM says they are
working on a solution.

And you point IS?

snag it has always caused me issues - I disable it within outlook. Try
reinstalling Trend - and if that fails, check their support site or disable
it. Generally speaking, you don't need antivirus running in outlook.

Sorry, my point was simply that there seems to be a new conflict with at
least two vendors add-ins that only developed after SP1 for Office 2007 was
installed.

I did have to uninstall the Trend Micro anti-virus (Internet Security 2008)
and reinstall for Outlook to send/receive e mail. Microsoft helped me
isolate my send/receive problem to the TM software.

As long as I do NOT turn on the Outlook anti-spam function, the anti-virus
and internet access controls work fine, as does outlook.

I also had an add-in problem with "snag it" and it was on a Windows XP
machine, so appears totally isolated to Office 2007 SP1 and the Outlook
add-in features/function.

So it MIGHT show up with other vendor s/w add-ins.

Thought this info might be helpful to someone experiencing similar issues.
