2007 Opening db appearance-window sizes

When I open Access tables or queries, they open larger than the window and
have a scroll bar at the bottom (have to scroll to get to close/min/max and
vertical scroll bar) - even when there is only 2 columns of data. Irritating
to have to scroll. I can resize manually the queries and save and when
reopen they fit screen but tables won't do that. I have changed the font to
8 so is it small and therefore prints that as default (which not a good
solution). Why is it exceeding the screen. I have a nice large flat screen
with 1280x1024 and don't want my desktop smaller. Older version did not do
this, only since 2007 install. Older version did not show all the blank
columns, only the columns in the query. This version show blanks which is
not necessary. Nothing in help. Help is appreciated. Linda

Linda -

I have Access 2007 at home but not at work so I don't use it much. I'm not
sure what the problem with the tables is, but it sounds like the Output All
Fields option is checked for the queries.

In 2003, this setting is changed in Tools --> Options --> Table/Query tab
under the Query Design section - there should be a similar setting in 2007.
Make sure that the Output All Fields option is NOT checked.

Hope that helps you some.

I found "Output all fields" but it isn't doing anything either when I turn it
on or off. It is under Office Button, Access Options, Object Designers,
Query Design, and is a Output All Fields check box. Whether on or off, the
queries and tables are still showing more than what is there - the blank
field with no names. I see a posting online that this will only affect NEW
queries only, not existing. Everything Microsoft is saying that you have to
change the screen resolution. What an ugly thing to do. Thanks for your
help. If any other ideas (besides the screen resolution) let me know. I'm
still hunting online.
