Hi,

How can I report issues with OL 2007 beta? OL constantly crashes, usually
during responding to or creating a new e-mail.

It also has issues with send/receive, sometimes hanging, other times
downloading multiple copies of the same message.

I have sent back crash reports when it's offered to, but wanted to make sure
the information is getting back to MS.

System info: P4 3 Ghz, 1 GB memory, Vista B2, Office 2007 Beta,

Thanks,
John

If you want to provide feedback on the public preview version of Office 2007 Beta 2, get the Send a Smile tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A2E1F4E2-BC0F-4403-B09F-7A677D55F274. This tool will transmit your comments and a screenshot back to Microsoft. As Jensen Harris explains at http://blogs.msdn.com/jensenh/archive/2006/06/23/644160.aspx, all SaS comments do get read and routed to the right people at Microsoft.

And keep sending those crash reports.

You might want to remove all add-ins to see if one of them is related to the crashes.

Then they should have all the info they need. You can send more feedback by
using the Send a Smile
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E2-BC0F-4403-B09F-7A677D55F274&displaylang=en

Make sure that the actual error is indeed with Outlook and not with some
incompatible add-in. Virus scanners that integrate with Outlook are a mess
and completely redundant as well.

Hi all, appreciate the responses.

I have disabled the AV and still the instability continues. The AV is the
only one currently available for Vista (unless OneCare supports Vista). It's
from CA. It also doesn't appear to have a plug-in to OL.

The system is basically a clean installation of Vista B2 and Office 2007
Beta, so there are no plug-ins or add-ons at this time.

I'll keep at it, but at some point likely uninstall 2007 and install 2003 as
I need to be able to be productive (since I provide tech support to numerous
companies, I'm using myself as the GP for Vista and Office 2007). I do like
the way Office 2007 looks, just can't have OL close everytime I hit new or
reply.

Thanks again.

John

OneCare does not support Vista.

Patrick,
Thanks for the info, I didn't see Vista as noted in the system specs, so I
thought it likely didn't.
OL in safe mode seems to be more stable, I might try that for a few days.
The error reporting response says it's fixed in a later beta release.
