2003 TS disconnects

Hi all. We are having terminal clients disconnect at random times during a 1
hour session. We have a 2003 terminal server and about 20 clients in one
room. We have checked the network for errors, disabled the autodisconnect
option on the server, checked RDP properties for idle timeouts, etc. Users
are still getting disconnected and sometimes a "reconnecting to server" type
box. Sometimes when I am in Terminal Manager, I can see a small "flash" at
the bottom that shows a workstation saying it is "down". It happens very
quick. Also no signs of event logs. Any ideas? I am running out of them...

TIA - Jason King MCSE

Does this happen when the users are idle for a little
while, and then start working again?

You might want to enable keep alives or up the value of
your tcpmaxdataretransmissions.ht

Usually the clients can disconnect even if idle for 5 minutes. I will check
out your recommendation and post back what I find. Thanks again - Jason

Hi. I have implemented this fix listed, but still am having problems with
clients randomly reconnecting about 2-3 per half hour. I ran more
performance monitor counts, and noticed when the client is about to
disconnect, the chart shows a large gap of literally nothing but a blank
spot. No graphs on any counters nothing except the cursor moving. The gap
was about 50-60 seconds long, and sure enough the client dropped. I have
never seen this in my life! Any thoughts??
