2003 powerpoint templates

HI,
I have been able to acess the templates before and now i can't. it keeps
coming up as"not a powerpoint file" or unable to load. when i click on a
template it goes to the virus scan and then it can't load it. I restored my
computer and they will work for a day or so. then they don't work anymore. i
reinstalled my software and still have the same problem. i adjusted the
security settings and it still didn't work. i do college online and need my
programs to work and am falling behind. can you help me?

What happens between the time you restore you computer and the time this starts
happening?

Is it possible that there's a virus scanner update that gets downloaded?

See if your virus scanner has an Office-specific scan feature; if so, turn it
off. It will probably continue to scan Office files as you download them or
receive them by email, so there shouldn't be any real risk in telling it to
leave Office itself alone.
 
hi,
i doesn't seem to have that option it just says high, meduim, low settings i
have it on the lowest setting and it still wont work. between the time that i
restore my computer i use the programs and they work fine. i shut the
computer down after im done using it and then i restart it to use it again
and the programs wont work. im woundering if it resets to different settings
after i shut it off or something that restores the problems.

Do you mean the Powerpoint Tools, Macro, Security setting?
That has nothing to do with your virus scanner.
