2003 Is keeping me too secure...

Is there some way to turn off the security messages from Access and Word?

When my users open my application on 2003 they get a message saying that
..mdb's are dangerous and have to specify that they really, REALLY, do want to
open the application.

Also, when they want to open merged Word documents via the Access
application they are met with a security warning that opening the document
will run "SELECT * FROM... " (my SQL statement for the merge). First, I don't
want them annoyed like this and second I really didn't want my SQL statement
displayed.

How do I get Office/Windows to chill out and let my users do their work?

Thanks!

Sounds like you should just turn off Access 2003's macro security. In
Access ... Tools, Macros, Security and then choose Low - Not recommended.

Thanks Shaun. This took care of the warnings from Access.

I did the same thing in Word, but unfortunately I still get warnings every
time I open a merged .doc via the application, or just open a merged letter
via Word, for that matter.

I'll post on some Word sites but if you have any other ideas, let me know!

Thanks!

hm, not really sure ... maybe somebody else can chime in. I would have
thought that would fix it for both.

I did as you suggested and worked fine. But problem now is setting up other
compters in a workgroup. When I did as suggested I got a record lock error
when trying to access Access from another computer. Help if you can.

:
I use Access and Word mail merge. Mine works fine with the security set at
High.
And I have Access security set at low.
