2003 document not opening in 2000

Hi

I have a weird thing happening to a large 2003 document. I can open this document on my 2003 machine, but when I transfere it to a 2000 machine, I receive an Program Illigal Operation Error Message. It won't open to save my life. What could be causing this issue?

- the document's structure has been damaged in such a way that Word 2000 can't
deal with it

- You've used a feature that Word 2000 doesn't support

Did you make sure to activate the "Disable features" setting in Tools/Options/Save
for Word 2000?

If you save the document in RTF or Word 6/95 file format can Word 2000 open it?
