2000 vs 2003

I created a presentation using 2003. The production company that will be
staging this event uses version 2000. I can't remember if the animation
sequences I used will work. Will embedded mpeg files still work? Do I need
to do something differently?

You can use the File > Package for CD option.

There are significant differences between the animations available in PowerPoint
2003. If you don't want to re-work your presentation, use Package to Folder and
include the Viewer. Burn the contents of the folder to a CD and take it to the
production company. Once there, dump the CD to hard disk and run the Viewer and
the presentation from there.

The MPG may or may not work, depending on the system you use once you're there.
Ideally, take a laptop with you that you know plays the presentation flawlessly.

'bout time the upgraded. Although I guess they have their 'reasons' why they
stick to 2000

I can't remember if the animation sequences I used will work. Will

If I was you I'd want to test run the presentation to check everything is as
it should be.
Be sure to take all your files with you including the video clip (incase you
have to re-insert it on ppt 2000)

What TAJ and Sonia said and ...

If you want presentations creatd in 2003 to work in 2000, you should go to
the Tools menu and choose Options. Click on the Edit tab (I think it's the
Edit tab; I'm home now on an old Mac so I can't check), and check the three
boxes under Disable New Features. This will turn off such things as the new
animations that won't work in 2000.
