2000 sever

my problem is this and i am hoping for an anrs i have
winows 2000 sever on a dell p4 with a 40 gig hd my problem
is when i trie to download sp4 to the systm i get a mess
that say ( unable to connect to metabase ) i do have sql
sever on the system if any one has any ideas of how to
solve this please let me know also when i go to the
metabase it isnt running at this time and the systm will
not let me start it

Thank you for your post!

Are you are receiving the following errors when you attempted to install
Service Pack 4. If so, what this means is there may be a lock to the local
IIS Metabase. I recommend to remove IIS from Add and Remove programs and
re-attempt to install Service Pack 4.

Dialog box with sp4iis.exe in the title appears:
"Unable to connect to metabase."

When we click OK, we receive
"setup failed to remove ism.dll script mappings"
