I am running windows 2000 server and I want to be able to
send simple, quick messages to other users on a small
network. What is the cheapest/easiest, and most simple
method?
Thanks,
Woody

"net send" in command line could be your best solution.
To send and receive, messenger service should be started.

Greetings --

From the command prompt, "net send [username] Your CD drawing is
ready." It'll even work if you use Start > Run > "net send [username]
Your CD drawing is ready."

It's WinMessenger. Really nice tools and I'm strongly reccomend you to
try it. It can be downloaded from http://www.winpopup.com
