2000 server disk usage

I have a 2000 Server SP4 that is running low on disk space. My problem is I
don't think it is reporting the usage correctly. In windows explorer if I
right-click the c:\ drive in the left pane and click properties it says there
is 3.54GB used. Now if I select all the folders and files in the right pane
and right-click and select properites it displays only 2.14GB used. I have
it set to show ALL folders and files. I also checked each folder under the
root of C:\ seperately and added up the usage and it comes to the 2.14GB.
Why is this different?? Are we actually running low on space??
