2000 pro install - replace xp

R

Robert

I go to a college and was given windows 2000 pro to
install on my home computer [it is what out school uses].
I wiped the hd, but when I tried to install the 2000 cd's,
I keep getting a message to insert my windows 98/95 cd to
upgrade.
I am not upgrading, so I don't have the requested cd's. I
simply an replacing XP with 2000pro. And I don't want to
spend 100.00+ to get the '98/95 cd needed.
Can any one help with this problem, or have a viable
solution that doesn't require a huge outlay of cash...
please keep in mind that I am a STARVING student [ie., no
money].

you must have the upgrade version

if you cannot find a win95 or win98 cd anywhere

you can purchase a win95 cd on ebay for $10 or so
