2-Year-Old XP Bug Needs To Be Fixed!

This bug has beem existing since ever Windows XP was released! I'm so
surprised that it's not been fixed yet.

This bug only exists in XP AFAIK, not seen in any other version. The problem
is that maximized windows, XP will make that the "restore" size, thus it's
annoying because I need to constantly keep resizing them.

This happens at unknown intervals, but today I found one!

Install IntelliPoint 5, set a button to execute Next Window.

Open up a few windows and maximize them.

Press: Windows Logo key + D (Show Desktop).

Press the button that executes Next Window.

You should notice all the windows are now miximized but they are actually
resized.

Hi, Chrino.

I'm not a familiar with the details of XP that you seem to be, but trouble
with window sizes is almost always down to closing them after resizing using
the 'x' cancellation button. After setting a window's "Minimized" size, go
to File and Close. It will then stay at that size.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the reply. I know what you're talking about, true Windows saves
the windows dimensions (thus Windows shows "Saving Settings" when you log
off). But what's I'm saying here is that Windows occasionally "forgets"
windows' status and dimensions at unknown intervals.

No sure whether you expienced this, but I have heard this problem from three
other people since the launch of Windows XP two years ago. The quickest way
for you to try this is to follow my previous post instructions. Otherwise,
simply maximise a few windows and have them stay there for a few hours while
you do your work, it might happen.

Hmm! 3 people have this problem. 25,000,000 copies sold. That equals
about .000012 % of the people are having this problem.

Not exactly a bug, but probably the fact that 3 people have their computers
configured in exactly the same way and are using identical hardware and have
identical software installed.

What about the bug whereby a window may become "always on top" even though
the program didn't try to do that? Or what about the one whereby a window
will take on a trait of "always on bottom" for no apparent reason?
