2 windows accounts

we are trying to setup outlook on 2 different windows (xp) login accounts.
Although outlook 2003 is working perfectly on the main windows account, it
fails to open on the new account. It says something like "cannot connect to
microsoft exchange server". After clicking "ok" a box comes up to "check
names". If you cancel this another warning comes up saying somethiong like
"failed to open as it is not an offline folder. Help!

Are you connecting Outlook to an Exchange Server? It sounds like you may
have the Exchange Server service loaded, but no Exchange Server for it to
talk to.

Assuming you are on std pop mail & not Exchange you need to modify the Mail
Profile on this winxp login to correctly configure the account
(Control Panel>Mail applet)

pop doesnt use exchange so either you missunderstand the instructions or
someone is giving funny ones

With each Windows username, use the Mail applet in Control Panel to
configure the mail profile before starting Outlook the first time.
