Hi, can I have office 97 and office xp in 1 pc? Currently, there's office
xp, but I need to be able to share files with office 97 users...so I can't
convert files into office xp format else those using 97 can't open the
converted files

Please help.

Just save any docs you want to share as a suitable for 97, for example in
Word XP there is an option to "save as" Word 97-2002-6.0/95, but you could
also save as RTF or 6.0/95, and of these would be readable by 97

Office 97 users should have no problem opening files created in Office XP.

I have both on my Computer and have not experienced any incompatibilities
other than the very odd VBA object which is not supported in 97.

But, yes you can have both(or 3 or 4) versions. Just make sure they are
installed in order from oldest to newest.
