How does one install 2 USB printers? I have an Epson inkjet on USB001. I
went to add an HP LaserJet 1012 and it gave me the option of installing on
DOT4 or USB001. Since it gave me the USB001 option, I figured it must be
okay and selected it. It "installed" and showed up in Device Manager and in
Control Panel under Printers.
I set the HP as the default printer and tried to print a test page. It
printed as garbage - on the Epson! So where do I go from here? How does
one install 2 USB printers? USB002 was never an option, if there is such a
thing.
I do not want to use the DOT4 printer port option, since my Microtek scanner
software will not recognize the HP if it is installed on DOT4 - rendering
the scanner's copy function useless. (As a matter of fact, the scanner won't
recognize any printer drivers if the HP is installed on DOT4 - it says "no
printer drivers installed". Otherwise, DOT4 is not a problem, but I do need
my scanner's copy function).
