Hi Group,

I recently formatted my laptop and now have 2 partitions. One with XP Home
(which I thought I could use) and XP Pro on the other partition.
2 Questions:
How do I get rid of the XP Home on the first partition without losing the
partition so that I can store my data on it?
How do I stop my start up screen from showing me both OS and that I have to
chose the one that I want, in this case PRO?

I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Brian

Boot to pro and delete the home files you don't want. Leave ntldr, ntdetect and boot.ini in the root of C. Edit boot.ini to edit the startup screen.

somethin' strange here....Home and Pro....we may have a Blackbeard here
folks......

My XP disk, from MS, has both home and pro on it. It's the MSDN disk and as the CD boots you choose Home or Pro setup.
