2-node clustering

Does anyone have a great checklist they follow for setting
up 2000/2003 clusters and should write caching be turned
off at the OS level with clusters? I actually tried to
turn it off for my clustered disks in device manager and
it kept turning back on by itself.

Thanks,

Wickman

I have been fighting this battle for a while. I have
been getting numberous Delay Write Failure messages on
clusters when failing over. Through it all I have kept
write cache enabled. I hear you can turn it off, but it
may have an affect on performance. I foud that it has to
be administered throught the driver that provides the
fault tolerance on the HBA level through Disk Driver
properties.

This Q article is prety succinct in defining these warnings. 816004

Genreally the resoution to them is almost always hardware configuration
problems or failures. Turning caching on or off is unlikly to resolve this
issue for you. Verify your hardware configuration as being HCL compliant
and that all physical components are current (and matching!) in firmware
and driver versions. Check physical components from termination to cable
lengths.
