2 NIC'S no internet access

I currently have 2 nic's in my WIN XP computer. I have
the Nic's named Internal and External. My internal nic
(IP - 192.168.10.100) is attached to switch/router (IP -
192.168.10.1) that connects to my home network and all
computers on my home network go out to the Internet via
the switch/router. My external nic (IP - 192.168.1.5) is
attached to a 2000 Server (IP- 192.168.1.1) that is
acting as a router to connect me to my office over a WAN
link. The external is only used to access my office
network.
The problem I am having is when I want to access the
Internet I have to disable my external nic so my computer
will use my internal nic to go out to the internet. Is
there a way to fix this?

Internal Nic: This card obtains all IP information from
DHCP in the switch/router.

External Nic:
IP: 192.168.1.5
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Thank you for your help.

Typically I wouldn't setup a remote connection this way.
I would setup a VPN/PPTP to the remote office. In either
case if I'm following your description correctly, I would
statically assign the IP settings of the external nic and
leave the gateway blank. You could also go to advanced
settings in network settings and check the order of the
adapters. Either on will fix your problem. But I would
recommend VPN. You're essentially using the server as
another router.

My 2000 server is routing with VPN to a cisco 506E. I
thought I needed to have a gateway setup on my external
nic for it to route.
