I'm running Nextel's wireless broadband for my Internet access through a
PCMCIA card. I am also using Ethernet to connect to a local LAN that runs a
couple of machines.
Is there some way to specify that my Internet connection should always be
the Nextel connection, or to give a priority to which connection should be
tried first when an Internet task is requested?
What happens now is that I can't have both the Nextel connection and the LAN
connection enabled at the same time. If they are both enabled, when I try to
hit the Interenet for web browsing or email, the task times out because it
is trying to route the Internet traffic through the LAN connection first.
By disabling the LAN connection, it immediately goes to the Interent through
my Nextel connection.
