2 device drivers "cannot start (Code 10)"

I've just built a new system - Gigabyte GA-81PE1000PRO-G,
P4 2.8, 512 mb RAM, INNo3D GeForce FX5200.
There are exclamation marks against 2 of the drivers - the
graphics card "this device cannot start (Code 10)" and the
Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T adapter
Copper RJ45 - also "this device cannot start (Code 10)".
Can anyone please explain what this means and should I do
something about it? The graphics seem to be OK, although
at some point in the installation process XP Home told me
it was not signed or something, and I installed anyway,
and the mobo installation CD ROM tells me that the LAN
driver is installed. I would like to know if there's a
risk that the LAN might malfunction because my son intends
to take this system with him to university and get hooked
up on a network.

One other mystery: the Arvel USB Scroll mouse I've used OK
on a very similar system I built is recognised by Windows
on the new system only sometimes. The PS/2 mouse works
fine, but if I boot with no mouse plugged in, then plug in
the USB mouse, sometimes there is no reaction at all,
other times the usual popup occurs and sets up the mouse.

I'd be grateful for some help please.

The nvidia drivers self-extracted and self-installed OK;
still with the "doesn't have MS permissions" warning but I
installed anyway. XP didn't like it much and had to
recover from a "serious error", but it seems to be OK now
and there's no Code 10, and there's a settings control
available on the Tsak Bar.
The Gigabyte drivers operation was more hands on, and when
it came to updating from the location I extracted to
(loads of different OS folders) XP decided there was
nothing to be gained, so I'm stuck with the same problem.
I wonder if I should enable "Onboard LAN Boot ROM" in the
BIOS - what does this do? the manual does not list this
option which shows immediately after "Onboard H/W LAN"
(What a busy forum this is!)
