2 bootup choices

I just installed Win XP and when I bootup I get 2 choices to run: Win XP Home version or Microsoft Windows. I choose Xp,of course, and it boots up fine. When I choose the other I see a Win 98 logo for split second and a blank screen with the blinking white cursor. I would like to know how to get a straight boot-up without choices. I have already tried the boot.ini approach without luck. Please help

Did you have windows 98 installed previously to Win XP?? And when you
installed Win XP did you do a quick format, or a normal format. I would
recommend doing a complete format via dos, then re-installing win xp.
^^Make sure to have all your drivers handy or you may be stuck in dos
for quiet a while.

How about showing what your boot.ini file was and what changes
you tried? A simple change there might work.
