2.5 Mins of Prefetching at Startup

I have indexing on drive C unticked and don't have many products that
would
use a lot of background stuff. I have AVG, MSN running currently. Defender
is
also but the interface is not loaded at startup, just the service so it
does
stuff at startup. I have no USB stick in either. It on average flashes
every
2-3 secs.

Still sounds OK as you do have ReadyBoot causing he post boot activity burst
and a little after that and then SuperFetch is always watching reading and
writing to either the scenario db files or pulling stuff to memory ready for
when you want to do something etc.

Maybe you should just stop staring at your drive lights and only worry if
your day to day work is suffering a performance hit
