I just built a new computer and loaded Windows XP Pro as
an OS. I tried to do a backup using the backup utility in
Windows and selected my CD burner as a destination for
the backup. When I click to proceed w/the backup, I get a
message which says:

THE BACKUP FILENAME COULD NOT BE USED "D:\BACKUP.BKF".
PLEASE INSURE IT IS A VALID PATH, AND THAT YOU HAVE
SUFFICIENT ACCESS.

It IS a valid path and I should have sufficient access as
an administrator. Does anybody have any idea what I'm
doing wrong?

TIA
Jack

As a workaround, backup to a folder on your hard drive and then burn it to
CD.
A better solution may be to invest in a more sophisticated backup program.

Late of Zellweger, nee MDA, perchance?
