I'm unable to open certain programs when I do I get the following message:-

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The file is not suitable for running MS-DOS
and Microsoft Windows applications.

Any suggestions?

copy the autoexec.nt file from c:\windows\repair to c:\windows\system32

or Start>run and type cmd and copy the following

copy %SYSTEMROOT%\repair\autoexec.nt %SYSTEMROOT%\system32

Good Luck
