Event Id: 1015: MsiInstaller

I'm a Vista Home Prem. User 32 bit.

I keep getting this when I try to install PalmDesktopWin62 from the website. It says:

Error -1607: Unable to Install InstallShield Scripting Runtime

So i check my event log and found this every time that that error comes up so does this:
Sophos I think is getting affected by the MsiInstaller not working since it won't update and i found something releated to the .msi files.

welcome to PCR

Your "errors" are suggesting to me you have a Windows XP problem ... are you sure this Palmdesktop know how to write a Vista program?

This article does not apply to computers that are running Windows Vista. For more information about help and support information for Windows Vista, visit the Windows Vista Solution Center:

Why not go ask PalmDesktop. ;)

The problem was with Vista having a Msinstaller problem where after a day or so of trying to fix it I just system restored the computer.
