1607 unable to install installshield

Whenever i try to the games doom 3 - i get the 1607 unable to install
installshield scripting runtime error message and i tried many things to fix
it and none work half the instructions are to complicated and all of them
that i tried didn't work. I have an xp. can you please help me.

This newsgroup is about Microsoft Access database software. And, because
InstallShield is not a Microsoft product, chances are slim to none that
you're going to find a newsgroup about it through the Microsoft online user
interface from which you are posting.

I suggest you seek assistance at InstallShield's own site, and be prepared
to give specific details. What you have said here isn't enough to go on.
