I am using Win XP Home. Suddenly the other day the boot
process starting taking a long time and I receive a
dialog box titled "16 Bit Windows Subsystem." The
message in the dialog box is "config.nt, the system file
is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications. Choose 'CLose' to terminate the
application. There is a Close and Ignore button. If I
click Close, the dialog goes away and the system seems to
work okay.

I have no idea which application is causing this message
or why. Can anyone help?

Hi,

Open config.nt in notepad, copy/paste the contents into a reply.
