16.9 format in Movie Maker

When I copy from my Sony DCR-HC39E into Media Player the 16.9 format is
maintained, but when I use Movie maker it transforms to 4.3 and is unuseable.
Does anyone know how to maintain the 16.9 format and what settings I need to
change?

Open Movie Maker, from the Toolbar, select Tools, Options.
