128 Pro troubles

[Ice Cold]

I'm experiencing some really disconcerting behaviour from my
card. While doing nothing with the computer , the monitor screen goes
black. Upon further investigation, I find that it has spontaneously
switched to the TV output. It does not respond to the hot-key to put
it back to the monitor. I have to turn the TV on to reset vid
properties. I've tried reloading and changing drivers, but I get the
same results.
Has anyone had a similar experience or an explanation for my
problem?

Does this still happen if you unplug the s-video cable to the TV?

No, it doesn't happen if I leave the cable unplugged. Still,
it's a nuisance to have to plug and unplug it. I have it routed
through a Sony matrix switch, perhaps there's some connection there.
