Hi folks... Any ideas on how to scan 110 film format negs using
a Nikon 8000ED or Epson 4870???

I will experiment and repost.

Thanks... Steven Foster Murray

You can try scanning directly on the glass bed of the 4870. If your
scanner's focus point is lower than spec. (many are), it might work well
enough for your needs (depending on how critical you are). If that isn't
good enough, get a glass mount holder for either the 8000 or 4870. The 8000
will do the best job optically, so I would start there if you can find an
affordable glass holder solution (does anybody rent the glass holder for the
8000?).

Thanks Doug... I do have a 120/220 glass film holder for the 8000.
Should I cut out some sort of mask for the 110 film? I will
experiment this week end.

I can't advise you on the 8000. If you were using a flatbed, it would
definitely be worth it to cut a mask.

I'm planning to simply put the 110 neg strip in the 35mm strip film
holder, and make sure the negative I want to scan is near one corner
of a frame (so it's supported as much as possible), and then see how
well that works.
