1 in front of fax numbers in contacts

I am in the process of setting up a fax server to integrate with Exchange
2003. It is working fine but Outlook keeps adding a 1 to the beginning of
fax numbers. These are local calls so this creates a problem. Help.
 
Thanks Russ. I have seen this article. The problem is that the "Faxmaker"
software by GFI dials the one and it fails because it is a local call.

You never mentioned you were using third party software. Ball is in their
court.

Well, they say it is a Microsoft issue, and I tend to agree. Oh well, I'll

If they are using the Microsoft Fax Service for sending, then the
instructions I posted would apply.
