1 in front of fax numbers in contacts

I am in the process of setting up a fax server to integrate with Exchange
2003. It is working fine but Outlook keeps adding a 1 to the beginning of
fax numbers. These are local calls so this creates a problem. Help.

It shouldn't. That is exactly the format any Microsoft Fax Service requires
to invoke dialing rules. Details on how to use international format to

Thanks Russ. I have seen this article. The problem is that the "Faxmaker"
software by GFI dials the one and it fails because it is a local call.

You never mentioned you were using third party software. Ball is in their
court.
