I have my Outlook at home, so this is a little sketchy:
Go into your email account configuration (Tools, Accounts
or Services) and click to modify the account. There is a
setting (I believe it's under the advanced tab) that let's
you change the "server timeout". The default is 1 minute,
but I've had more success bumping it up to 5 minutes.
That way if you have a large attachment and a slow
connection, you have more of a chance of it going through.
