Zune won't install.... No error messages

So with the Fall update to the 360, I can't stream music/pix/videos anymore.
So I come online only to find out that I now need Zune to do it. So I go
download the Zune installer, which is larger than 5 MB and still needs to
download more (uh.... can't just update the damn exe can you?) and at some
point during the install (after it renews my USB connections) it just says
that there was an installation error. Not sure what it is, but it just says
that. So I pose the following questions:

1.) How can I find out what the error was so I can give you all more
information
2.) Is there a known issue with Win XP Pro SP2?

I'm completely up-to-date on my updates, so it shouldn't be anything like
that.

Okay, so I went into the event viewer (thus answering the first question) and
got the following error message:

---
Product: Zune -- Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to
read from the file: C:\DOCUME~1\*****\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP000.TMP\Zune.msi
---

Except.... I'm properly connected as I can browse the web / download stuff
properly, and it's referencing a local file. So I'm not sure what this
"network error" is..... Any help is appreciated.

Their are lots of problems with Zune, search digg.com, slashdot.org

Claims: "Zune is incompatible with Windows Media Player, the familiar
hub of the Windows desktop media experience."

Here's a link (google: zune Win XP Pro SP2) that sounds like your
problem http://zuneboards.com/archive/index.php/thread-581.html

Huh... thanks for the info. So I guess it seems that either
1.) WMP11 didn't install properly
or
2.) I have to actually have a Zune in order to install Zune....

Now the question is, how do I get video to stream to the xbox 360 without
zune? Thanks for the help.

Don't know never tried it (PS2, Wii here), But VLC would be a program
to look at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

The issue isn't playing, the issue is the actual streaming.... I'll ask
around the xbox forums. Thanks for the help.
