Zone Alarm V Nod 32????

Hi,
I have zone alarm pro 6.1 and pc going 24/7, about once every day I get
the true vector engine quitting and requiring a restart so is not operating
during that time.
If I switch to NOD 32 firewall which I have heard is quite good, is it easy
to install for a non technical person, as have a few p2p program and port
forwarding is painful and complex and presently have a high ID and have had
no probs for months, took a while to get to that stage. I have norton av
2005 and am happy with it.

Any thoughts appreciated.

When did NOD32 AV become a firewall? Is Eset putting out a NOD32 FW
because I have not heard about this FW?

Nothing new on their web site! Here's their self description:

"Real-time protection against viruses, spyware, adware, and identity
theft."

NOD32 is an AntiVirus program not a firewall. It's a lot easier to
maintain than NAV products.

theft."

If you are running mission critical 24/7 systems, you might want to look
into some kind of hardware firewall. Linksys has a multi port
router/firewall that seems to work well.

I use Sygate Personal Firewall(free version)-very easy to add rules. I
have used Zone Pro but I didn't need all the extra features like
attackment scanning and so forth-just needed a basic firewall.
