NOD 32--Recurring Problem--Beta Version

T

Temprock

NOD 32 Beta purrs flawlessly for a few weeks--regular smooth update,
good scans etc.-- then invariably starts denying my ability to DL
updated AV DAT files until I enter a sign-in name and password.

Even the sign-in and password "assigned" to me does not work. I cannot
DL updated files for days at a time.

Any solution? Or must I (always) uninstall NOD 32 Beta and reinstall
it? How great is the risk (realistically) during the 20-30 minutes
where I have no AV while I'm re-downloading and reinstalling NOD 32?

I love the product but this recurring screen name/password problem does
get annoying.

Thanks in advance.

Why are you still using the BETA service?

When I signed up directly with the NOD 32 website they said as long as
it's still in Beta it's free. I was never notified anything has
changed.

Why do you ask? The problem I'm concerned about started soon after I
downloaded the Beta version (maybe its out of Beta now but as stated I
was not aware of that).

Other than this prob. I'm thrilled with NOD 32.

If I must change my registration or something I'll be glad to do so but
is that connected with the problem?

Thanks.

Temprock,

The product has been out of Beta since May 11. You can always visit a
vendor's site for updated information on their product.

The site for Nod32 is www.nod32.com and the release date for the final
version is noted on the right side of the screen, 2nd item down, in red
letters.

As an added note, I use Nod32 and find it to be superior to any other AV
product I have used, which includes; McAfee, Norton/Symantec, Kaspersky,
AVG, Norman (yes, that's the name), and some others. Well worth the purchase
price.

Download the latest released version from the NOD web-site. Install over
the Beta, *but* when you're asked if you want to keep your same
settings, decline that option. this will install the product with the
correct D/L servers. The Beta server is not functional.

When the Final Version of 2.5 Nod32 was released, the beta version was no
longer supported, and the update server no longer supports that version.

The new version 2.5 is available for download at www.nod32.com and is a 30
day trial piece of software.

I have used Nod32 for several years now and can honestly state that it is
the best. I have tried them them all over the uears, and Nod32 and Kapersky
are the highest rated anti-virus softwares on the market. Once you try it, I
know that you will register it and have no further problems with it!

Err because its BETA. Do you actually know what that means?

Let me see...BETA = test version. I wonder.....

Thanks to all but douche bag Conor (Hey Conor--do you know what a
douche bag is or are you one vinegar short of even that?).

It's one of the downsides of reaching out for assistance in a public
forum: for every 5 folks that try to help there's one small, bitter
loser that's there to bash.

Again, thanks to all who helped me.

NOD 32 is an outstanding product and I'd be glad to pay for its
protection.

Whats your problem? You got advice...it just required you to fire that
one neuron between your ears.

Another ****ing stupid Yank arsehole proving his country is populated
by people mostly unable to think for themselves. Stupid from the
president down...

Did you apply for tickets for the live7 concert, then? lol
No, because there's no such thing.

There's a Live8 concert. You are aware that there,s a G7, G8, G20 and
G77 aren't you?

You are aware that there,s a G7, G8, G20 and
G77 aren't you?

Now Russia has joined the former G7 as a full member they are the G8.
Any limited G7 operation only applied while Russia was not a full
member. They are not the separate entities you suggest by linking them
to the G77 which is a separate entity.

Jim.
