the list has the focus or multiple items are selected
-All +/- buttons are now drawn in Windows style
-The installer will overwrite the acro.dat and all acro-[LANGID].dat files
with each install. User can now use their own "acrocust.dat" and
"acrocust-[LANGID].dat" files which will persist between updates
-The static acronyms.adm spell checker dictionary has been removed. The
spell checker now ignores all acronyms that are in the acro*.dat files

-An updated version of the American spelling dictionary is included
-All borders, e.g in the general settings are now (Windows XP) themed if
enabled

-Crash and freeze logs can now be directly uploaded to Mantis; you'll need
to enter your Mantis Username and Password in Dialog for this ("Misc." page
in the general settings)
-Updated to a new exception handler
-Rewrote parts of the POP3 code (all emails are now fetched first, then
processed into Dialog, not one after another)
-POP3 now uses pipelining if the POP3 server allows it
-Full article retrieval now uses pipelining (should be much faster to
retrieve large numbers of articles from remote servers)
-Added new "Download unread emails only" option (now using UIDs exclusively
to identify previous seen emails)
-Moving emails to folders now works even if it produces duplicates
-Added the missing "Charsets" submenu to the "Message" main menu items
-Changed the two cursors used when customizing the buttons on the toolbars
-Added a Help menu item that links to the Wiki
-The From: field shown in the first line on the panel above the article body
is now always formatted (escaped characters show up right, but the order of
email and address might not be the same as in the original from field)
-You can now filter error messages, so that the status window doesn't popup
on these errors any longer
-Changed the cancel/supersede check; you no longer have to change to the
matching identity to cancel a posting that was written with a currently not
active identity
-Added handling for parameters in mailto links

default background color
-The flat menu style now depends on the current theme

Settings menu bar
-The toolbars can now be dragged around and can float
-Added the "Distribution" header in the composition window
-Views assigned to a group now only work as _intial_ views when entering a
group; further if a default view for a group is currently overriding the
global view, the actual active view is painted in bold in the Views menu
-Menus are now animated (if enabled in the Windows (XP/2000) settings)
-The GUI reacts slicker now with lots of worker threads
-The active selection is now updated before the context menu in the group
and article list is shown (fixing incorrectly enabled/disabled menu items)
-Folder names in "!copy" and "!move" actions now work case-sensitive
-Non-image attachments larger than 5MB that were already automatically saved
to disk are no longer loaded into memory when the article is selected (fixes
"out of memory" errors with very large attachments)
-Terms like "[email protected]" are now considered to be a MsgID
-The size of the selected fallback font is now automatically selected.
Dialog tries to use a fallback font size that results in about the same font
height as the default font. The font sizes in the font fallback list now are
relative to the standard font size in case it needs a bit of human
adjustment (+/- 0, 1, 2, etc.)
-Made the font fallback much faster (fontinfo.dat is no longer needed)

Marcus ....

I'm a new 40tude Dialog user and have just downloaded and installed
from the above link ....

The download and install were smooth, and thus far,
everything seems to be working smoothly as well ....

Would it be possible to show/hide the Group pane
via a drop-down instead of dragging it to resize ?

Thanks for providing a very nice program ....
