Zip Files don't show up with "Insert File" tab in OutLook 2003

When I try to insert a zip file into OutLook, all files show up in the source
folder I select, EXCEPT zip files. Can someone tell me why? I suspect it
has something to do with the security features in OL, but can't find a switch
to turn it off.
