Zip file with different extension

I want to send a zip file, which is not accepted by the receiving file. If
I change the extension to something else (say, .sss), attach the file, and
then have the receiving person change the file extension back to .zip, is
that a way to get around the problem?

TIA

It may be that your network admin does not want you to send an attachment
thru email.

There's only one way of finding out, right?

Can sharing files with Messenger? (I've never been use).
Too, you can upload the zip file to a free hosting home page and send
only the ulr address in the email.
