Your Current Security Settings Do Not Allow You To Send HTML Forms

D

Dell Boy

A client is getting the error message "Your Current Security Settings Do Not
Allow You To Send HTML Forms" when he is running the Bloomberg program and is
trying to access a page that requires a username and password to be entered.

He is running XP Pro SP 2 with IE 7 and latest updates.

Does anyone know of a solution to this?

Either double-check the settings level for the Internet Zone or add the
URL to the Trusted Zone table.

Hello,

Thank you for your post and as well as to R.McCarty for sharing these steps.

Usually, this problem occurred because of the Internet Explorer settings
and, you may need to check these settings as R.McCarty mentioned. As a
supplement, I would like to list the main steps for your reference:

1. Open Internet Explorer, click Tools, click Internet Options. On the
Security tab, for Internet, Local intranet, Trusted sites zones each, click
Custom level¡ button on the bottom, then on the next page, ensure you have
enabled the "Submit non-encrypted form data".

2. On the Security tab of the Internet Options, select Restricted sites and
click Sites button underneath it. Check if the site that you want to access
is listed there, and remove it accordingly.

3. If the above two methods don't work, you can try resetting the Internet
Explorer. On the Advanced tab of the Internet Options, click Reset¡ button
to reset the Internet Explorer settings.

Additionally, please also check all your anti-virus applications and
firewall settings, as we also encountered this problem when the firewall
was configured improperly.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
George Yin
