Hi,

"Your changes could not be saved to XXX, but were saved
to a temporary document called YYY..."

This is happening loads... we're running a W2K Server
(SP2) and XP clients, saving documents to a shared drive.

Permissions are all perfect, no virus scanner running on
client...

Any ideas?

(Can't find KB document 214032 that talks about this...
has it been removed?)

Virus Scanner on the server?

Any problems when you save to HD?

Lady Layla:
I've removed Sophos from my server on the off-chance that
it'll help (i know i know, but the frustration from the
users is far more destructive)... I'll keep you all
posted. No, no probs with local save.

Dave!
Yeah, I've visited those KBs before, but they don't
really have any information that can prevent this from
happening... only fix it once it's done. And that's
going to drive you nuts if you get it 30times a day!

Thanks everyone! keep throwing those suggestions in
though..
