youll have to be an EXPERT to help with this one! sound issue

hi guys.....not sure if this is even something that can
be fixed, but here goes: i have NO sounds at all. when
trying to play a song, it says sound card may be being
used elsewhere. cant even play a system sound. cant
even adjust system volume, says sound device is not
working. in device manager, however, the drivers are
present and said to be working properly. did uninstall,
reinstall, it reads the drivers and recognizes them, but
still have the problem. somewhere else i saw it
say, "drivers enabled but not started". checked BIOS,
audio is ON. cannot figure this out.....PLEASE HELP

Hi. I can't help cause i have the same problem. I've got a k7som+ board with onboard sound (enabled) and same results. Any responses you get could you forward to me?

I'M NO EXPERT but I had the same problem about 3 or 4 month's ago. It's
plug n play and the onboard audio AC97 I suspect. Did you in stall another
sound card? To make a long story short, I had to re install my OS in short
form. good luck.
